Agreed on the education issue.

As for the stimulus, I didn’t want to go off track, so I didn’t dive into the details. The point you raised was definitely part of the problem, but there were plenty of other problems with the plan’s implementation. Even states that did spend the money didn’t do it as efficiently as they should have.

In any case, I maintain that Obama overestimated the impact of his stimulus package, and that the plan itself wasn’t as fleshed out as it should have been when it was originally proposed. It certainly wasn’t all his fault that it fell short of expectations, but I would argue that he still has to take his fair share of the blame.

But it is what it is. I only brought it up as an example. As you mentioned, there are others to choose from.
