First of all, I never called anyone stupid or unpatriotic. I don't typically judge whole individuals based on a single act (unless it's something extreme like murder, obviously). But I do think it's fair to judge specific decisions. And yes, I think it's better, smarter, and more patriotic to wear a mask than it is to not wear a mask. If you disagree, that's fine.

Secondly, if I wanted to play "divide and conquer" and was looking to exploit people's fear, I'd be arguing in favor of continuing these lockdowns. But as you are aware, my primary concern is with ending the lockdowns. To that end, I hope most people will start to wear and continue wearing masks for the time being so that they'll be spared the economic and psychological pain that another lockdown will bring us.
