I confess that I almost fell for the misleading headlines about Sedaris. When I realized he really was just kidding around, I went from being mostly indifferent to totally indifferent.

I can't bring myself to get worked up about bad jokes, even when I do find them legitimately offensive (which is very rare). I suppose I just expect that sort of thing to happen from time to time, so I'm not caught off guard when it does. Comedians miss the mark on occasion. It's not the end of the world. They're only human, after all.
