I’ll certainly concede that point about Musk and his businesses. I did not phrase that the way I intended to, but it missed me on review after I shortened that paragraph. It’s only right that I make the proper edit and attach an editor’s note to the piece.

To clarify, the point I tried to make in the original draft was that he could not relinquish his wealth without relinquishing control of his businesses, which (in my opinion) is an unreasonable demand to make of any business owner, especially one who is responsible for creating and building that business in the first place.
