Interesting list! I sympathize with your skepticism of green walls. I work with a lot of building owners as part of my regular job, and the few who have tried to install those walls weren’t terribly thrilled with either the costs or the results. Green roofs, especially those that require minimal maintenance and basically take care of themselves, seem to be growing in popularity, though. And AFAIK, the ROI tends to be better with them than the green walls. Of course, the results also depend largely on local climate conditions, which can limit the usefulness of some of these technologies.

The lab-grown meat really excites me. I’m a vegetarian, but I really, really miss the taste of beef. I’ve started eating Beyond Burgers and Impossible Burgers. They’re both quite good, especially the Beyond Burgers, and they do come close to tasting like real meat. But I can still taste the difference and would prefer the real thing if I can get it from a lab.

P.S. Can I ask which city is in the featured image you used for this post? It looks super cool and I want to go there, lol.
