My hunch is that Barr is probably being a straight shooter about all this, but no way am I going to jump to any conclusions until we have all the available information. I learned my lesson long ago with Richard Jewel. Since then, we’ve had Duke LAX, the Hofstra Five, Shirley Sherrod, Palin/Giffords, and so many other stories where people just jumped straight to whatever conclusion they wanted to be true instead of just waiting for all the facts. It’s a bad habit that a lot of people just can’t seem to shake.
