Randy, I read your THINK piece, and I could not possibly agree with you more. The rush to judgment is a major component of call-out culture, and I think it’s one of the reasons why this phenomenon has become so destructive. It’s jarring enough to wake up one day and find out that half the internet has it out for you, but it’s even worse when it’s all because of a simple misunderstanding (like the one you lay out in your THINK piece). A lot of people would be spared a lot of needless anxiety and stress if the call-out crowd would just pause for a moment and make sure they have their facts straight before jumping on the outrage bandwagon.
