Respectfully, I pay less attention to percentages than I do to the total number of deaths. 100,000 is a lot of people no matter how you look at it. And if wearing masks could potentially help prevent that number from increasing by even just a few more thousand, I think it's worth it considering how easy and simple it is to wear one.

Secondly, I don't think this is about government control. If it were, officials would be pushing for longer lockdowns and tighter restrictions. Instead, they're mostly doing the opposite and loosening restrictions in phases.
