Thank you for mentioning this, Cathy. It’s something I brought up in a recent piece I did on cancel culture. Progressives talk a good game when it comes to mental health, but they seem very unconcerned about the possibility that at least a few of the people they target in these videos might be legitimately mentally ill. Whenever this topic comes up, I always think back to what happened to August Ames when the outrage mobs came for her and she subsequently took her own life. A lot of the people involved in that affair refused to take responsibility for the part they played in pushing her over the edge. I wish I could say it won’t happen again, but I know it’s only a matter of time until it does.
