Thanks for the kind words, William! I really appreciate it! And I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. We need more dialogue, not less. More competition between ideas, not less. A healthy society is a society that encourages debates and discussions, even about the most sensitive topics, because that’s how progress happens. The mob mentality stifles that progress, which I assume is why the people who partake in these witch hunts are often referred to as “regressives.” On top of that, they also put innocent people at risk, as demonstrated by what happened to August Ames. And the worst thing about it is that when people with influence try to stand up to this behavior, they almost always become targets themselves, which is almost certainly why so many people turn a blind eye to it. Hopefully, that’ll change sometime in the near future.
