The Pelosi-Trump showdown has been a really interesting story so far. As a citizen and voter, I’d like them to just hash things out and get a deal done. But if I’m being honest, the political junkie inside me is slightly enjoying watching the two of them go back and forth. It’s been a master class on political theater, and we still have almost 2 full years still to go lol!

As for Gabbard, I’m not sure what to make of her strategy. I feel like she’s trying to reinforce her image as a principled, nonpartisan, straight-shooting liberal. And I think that’s a good role for her to play. In fact, it’s that attitude that attracts me to her. She strikes me as a left-wing John McCain, minus the interventionism. But if I were in her shoes, I’d focus my efforts on rallying some support within her own party’s base before doing anything else.
