“What’s the family business?”

Flooring company. To be honest, it’s not really my type of thing. I don’t like working at a desk (unless I’m writing something). But I do quite enjoy the sales end of things. I like going into new and different homes and interacting with people. It sure beats being stuck in the office for hours on end.

“ So when I think of OCD, my mind goes to stuff like checking light switches, hand washing, etc…”

The hand washing thing is a big one for me. I wash my hands about 50–60 times per day, sometimes more if I’m doing dirty work. But OCD manifests itself in different ways, so I never did the light switches or checking locks or any of that stuff. I don’t know if you ever saw The Aviator, but my OCD is a lot like what Howard Hughes dealt with (can’t touch door knobs or use public bathrooms, creating “germ-free zones” in my home, etc.).

“ Every time we change our direction in a healthy way, I believe it spreads out to others in our lives.”

I wholeheartedly agree!
